Our Rides. Cheesy, Fruity or Hot Chilli?

Rides Home

Update: The winter season is upon us and it's making the ride schedule tricky as always. We're still riding a lot but sadly the calendar has been neglected due to the short notice and irregularity of the rides. If you're looking to join us for a ride, keep checking back to the calendar regularly. We plan to try and keep it more up to date but rides are starting to crop up with as little as two days notice now. Due to the weather and it being the off season, there's a bit of a shift towards road biking so if you're a roadie and looking for some riding buddies, we like skinny tyres too!

Anyone in the Cheesy Riders can advertise a ride and we like it that way. However, we do host regular, slightly more (dis)organised rides - namely the official Cheesy and Fruity rides.

Our rides are classified into three groups - cheesy, fruity and hot chilli. While cheesy and fruity are regular rides in their own right, they are categories which you will find used to inform everyone of what they can expect.

  • Cheesy Ride: salad-dodging glacial pace. no one gets left behind, no one gets mocked for lack of speed or skill and it's a ride, not a race.
  • Fruity Ride: Fit riders and/or some skill. A fast ride with a competitive edge for those who want to test themselves.
  • Hot Chilli: Super-stoopid quick led by race obsessed weight weenies. The slow will be humanely culled and their bike parts distributed among the others.

We also do regular away rides to Cwmcarn, Afan, the Quantocks and beyond!
